Progress - Not Perfection

I have tried for the past couple years to diet and exercise, but I have not been able to be disciplined enough to actually put my best effort forward. I just did not want it enough to stick with it. There are several things that I did wrong. First of all, I was expecting results too soon. I knew in my head that it would take awhile to see results and I knew that I needed to actually put a good couple months in to the process to actually make my actions a habit, but I did not actually get this process through my head. I did not actually take into consideration the time and effort that I needed to put into this new lifestyle.

With the coming new year, I have decided to participate in a couple of programs: the Lara Casey's Making Things Happen 2013 Series, the Maria Kang No Excuse Fitness Program, and the advice of Marie Forleo and her wonderful videos. I have been working on figuring out an action plan to make sure that I can actually make it to my goals. Maria Kang gives some wonderful pointers about how to create an action plan/motivational poster to help you stick to your fitness goals. Here is a link: http://www.mariakang.com/2013/12/30/10-words-of-advice-for-new-years-resolutions/.

This is my motivational poster:

My Fitness Calendar
I followed Maria Kang's advice and created it. I added some quotes because I am a quote person. This is just when I started out. I do have to add a disclaimer: I have a bunch of red X's because I got my wisdom teeth out. I just wanted to let you know that I haven't already been slacking off at the beginning of the new year. I really couldn't work out. :) I am going to regularly post updates of my fitness calendar and hope that you are motivated too!

Introduction

Welcome! My name is Kaylee. I decided to create this blog to make sure that I keep my focus and stay dedicated to the path toward my goals. One of the goals that I am currently working on is becoming a Chargers Girl. I need to get in shape and work on my technique. My plans to achieve this goal are to take dance classes and work on my technique. I am going to start attending the Balletiquette Dance Studio in Clairemont, California. I am also devising a schedule to work on technique and stretching out on my own. My plans to get in shape is to devise a fitness schedule and work on meal plans per week. I am also keeping a fitness/nutrition journal. I have included a "before" shot of myself.

As I'm sure you are probably thinking, I have a long way to go to achieve my goal of becoming a Chargers Girl. However, there is a difference between your thinking and mine: I know I am going to meet this goal. Do you think so?

I will tell you this: In April 2015, I will be announced as one of the 28 hard working women now known as Charger Girls.
